President Obama?

My views on Barack Obama are very limited. First of all, I know that he is a candidate, but I don't really care about it because it's in America and even though it does effect us Canadians, I can't bring myself to pay attention much to his promises to America. But as the time came closer to the day that the American's voted, I realized that this was a very big deal, and I should be paying at least a little attention to what was going on. I already knew this would affect us Canadians, but I hadn't realized how much. If their economy becomes better, it affects us in so many ways, but especially financially. If Barack Obama gets voted to be president, he will make history, being as he is the first black president of the United States.

The following campaign issues brought to light in the campaign ad are that people are losing their homes because they are in need of financial aid, and this is because they are losing their jobs, so they are looking for jobs. Another issue is the on-going war in Iraq. Many families are worried about their family in Iraq, and when are they going to come back, and when they do come back, are they going to be alive? This is a huge issue for Americans. Also, as a Canadian, I do not understand the crisis of having to pay for your own health care. Our health care is 'free' and we do not have to worry about the huge expenses of just going to the doctor for a check up. But in America, you have to pay for every little thing, and if you have to get a surgery, it is not covered; you have to pay for your health care. Another issue is the economy, which is part of the reason that Americans are losing their jobs, leaving them with no money, causing them to lose their homes. Another issue brought to our attention in the campaign ad is that of the causes of natural disasters. People don't have enough money as it is, but what happens when a hurricane hits? Like the devastating cause of Hurricane Katrina, people losing their homes, families, everything that they had and knew. Where does this relief fund come from, how can they get it, everything is about money these days, and this is what Obama is trying to say, and he's trying to help.

Obama's message to the American people is that if he is elected the next president, then he will bring the truth, and he will help change America, and the world for that matter, into a better place. This is an effective ad campaign because it shows that Barack Obama actually knows what's happening to Americans today and he realizes that America needs hope, they need a change to help them resurface into a better world, and he is telling the people of America that he can help do that if he is elected.
